Hybrid car – Ride to the future

Hybrid cars are not some hype, they are actually scientific innovations which can make use of both gas as well electricity, thereby making itself the most cost efficient and at the same time an environment friendly vehicle.

The majority of these cars have two modified engines, one that runs on gas and the other that runs on electricity. Both the engines actually play their part, with the gasoline engine giving a kick start for starting and stopping, while the electric engine makes the car move. This helps cut down emission thereby helping the environment to stay clean. And, not to forget saving on money as a result of using electricity more than gasoline.

Technically, two types of hybrid car technologies exist, namely the series type and the parallel type. In series type, the functioning starts with the gasoline engine and over a certain period of time when the engine reaches a definite speed, the electric engine takes over. Here, the gas engine can be used to charge the batteries of the car for later use. In series, both the engines are never made to work together. The parallel type of design is very similar to the series type but the difference lies in the fact that the parallel type uses electric engine simultaneously with gasoline to increase the power boost of the vehicle, thereby making it more efficient.

Hybrid cars, no doubt, are economical in terms of fuel use in the long run. However, at the moment they are a bit heavy on the pocket. But, things are going to change soon, as governments will take up steps to make it more affordable because of its many advantages.

is your ride to the future. Recent advancement in technologies, especially in the area of automobiles, has proved to be more than beneficial for mankind, provided we utilize it effectively. With all the controversies and publicity of global warming and other man made environmental changes, the hybrid car comes as a boon.
