The Ford Fusion Hybrid Sedan

One of the main reasons why hybrid cars have not made their mark on customers is the reviews and the attached ill repute that they have gained about not being a comfort oriented version of the gasoline powered car. Though the hybrid cars did give a lot in terms of low emission and high fuel efficiency yet the driver or owner of the car also desired comfort style and performance, which were very obviously absent.

There has been a change in this aspect too of late. A look at the Ford Fusion Hybrid would dispel a lot, if not all of these negative myths associated with the hybrid cars. It has even won the North American Car of the Year prize for this year at the auto show held in Detroit.

A panel of journalists from the automotive field judge the cars for various factors like innovativeness, design safety, driver satisfaction as also value for money. Ford Fusion Hybrid came out as the winner in this show and that speaks loads about this hybrid car.

It also means that aspects like driving comfort, pick up speed and other styles that makes a car stand out from the rest have been included in this production from Ford.

The car is powered by the engine motor combination which delivers a total of 191 hp. Though Ford has claimed that its sedan can achieve top speeds of 47 miles per hour this needs a lot of tuning by the driver on the accelerator and as well depends on other external factors.

One other interesting aspect that distinguishes this car from others is the interactive dashboard which uses the SmartGuage technology. This aids the driver in achieving higher fuel efficiency through speech as well as indications. All this however comes for a price and that’s $27,300 which is a bit higher than others in this category of hybrid cars.
